Suggestions for easier and faster manual sending of messages to safe-lists.
1.
Most safelists seem to require logging in with username and password.
One way of speeding up manually sending safelist messages, is to
construct an HTML page with the full information needed to login with
username and password, added to the login webpage URL. For example
(This is not a working link, so DO NOT BOTHER TRYING IT, it is just an example of how one looks.)
http://www.mesothelioma-class-action.com/index.html?user=test&pass=password
The code is hyperlinked so that clicking on it sends the full URL and extra login data as if
transmitting the login FORM from the login webpage of the site in question.
Some sites require a randomly changed sequence of images to be typed
or selected AS WELL, to avoid automated script login. These random
images are part of the class of anti-script measures called Turin code.
These are not easy to automate, that is the point of them. The name of these
comes from the British computer scientist Alan Turing by the way, as he was
interested in how you could tell a human from an advanced computer just from its
responses to questions, with no other physical clues who you were dealing with.
Perhaps much like some LIVE SUPPORT features on some webpages, when they answer you
with stock cut&paste answers not eintirely relating to what you asked them!!!
2.
Once logged in, and about to send a message, you usually find a FORM
with a text box, one line, used to hold the TITLE of the message being
sent.
Under it is normally a text box, size can vary, usually at least 60
characters wide, several lines deep, for the MESSAGE.
Here is another place that can be speeded up, using the little
realised property of the TITLE text box, when it encounters a
carriage-return/line-feed.
Construct a simple text file (save it ending in .txt) with a single
line containing the message title, then press RETURN and add the
message body text below that, and save it (if you do want to reuse it
next time).
Right click on the text, Select all, copy, and then go to the SUBJECT
input text box on the safelist, upon pressing (SHIFT-KEY) and the
(INSERT-KEY) together, the contents of the clipboard will be pasted
in, ONLY UP TO THE END OF THE FIRST LINE.
If you then drop down to the next box, the message text box, and paste the
clipboard contents in there as well, you get the whole of the message
complete with the first line used that was just used as heading text.
An example might be (below the ######## example delimiter!)

$50/£50? YOUGOV
Yougov pay for taking surveys, now USA can join as well as UK.
Prestigious organisation, used by UK Government and Newspapers.
Pay out at $50 (for USA) or £50 (for the UK), by check/cheque.
Normally about 1 survey a week on average
The average value ranging from $0.80-$2 (£0.50-£1).
Free to join, so why not give it a go
Paid for Surveys
############## end of the above safe-list example text ###################
That would put the $50/£50? YOUGOV in the subject field only.
It does not matter if there is a blank line under it, the carriage RETURN
at the end of the line is what stops the rest from being copied in also.
By the way, the link above IS working, why not earn something from the Internet?
If you join up to my newsletter I will let you know a bit more about how
to make it easier to log into some safelists using the POST method.
Contact me at mailing-lists@hotmail.com once joined, with subject HINTS.
If I see your name in the members list, I will reply, otherwise it is
not worth my time helping someone who will not help me by joining my
mailing list. It may/will take me a while to reply, I am busy. Too busy
to send many messages from the mailing list either, after the first few
autoresponder emails with various tips, it is likely to be less than one a month,
so no worries about being swamped with spam.
Boys Toys, can you live without them? Most likely, but it is fun dreaming!!!
Lastly, if you want to search for other sites about
safelists, feel free to use this search box.
